I've been thinking long and hard about what I'm going to post, so I've decided to review Clinique's 3- step skin care system. Even though I've stopped using the system, I did use it for eight months so I have a good idea of each product. I have normal to combination skin that breaks out and I thought I would give Clinique a try, even though it’s pricey, because I heard good things about it.
Fist I use the liquid facial soap for oily skin, the pump is convenient and makes dispensing the product easy. The soap has a gel-like consistency, and I think of menthol when I smell it but my mother smells bamboo which I do get; the smell isn't bad and it goes away when you wash your face. The soap gives a nice lather and my face feels clean and soft without feeling tight.
After that, I use the number 3 clarifying lotion that comes in the pink bottle. This toner claims to exfoliate the skin and to help it look overall better, and I think it does a good job at that. It gives my skin a clean feeling, and my face doesn't get as oily as quickly in the heat while also making my skin feel smooth. Even though the toner is suppose to help your pores look smaller, I don’t think it really did that, but I was pleased enough with the tone that it wasn't a big deal.
Lastly, I use the dramatically different moisturizing gel. There is a lotion that my sister uses if your skin needs the moisture, but I use the gel for my skin. I like that the moisturizer gives me a cooling sensation and that it’s on the light side so it doesn't make me oily, which a lot of moisturizers do, but I usually have to use a second pump on my cheeks so they feel hydrated. I also heard the products would help with acne but I didn't see a big difference. Overall, I really like how the toner is refreshing and makes my skin feel clean, and I like how the moisturizer doesn't break me out or make me oily. I might go back to the moisturizer, and I think the products in general are pretty good. Clinique does work for a lot of people and has helped their skin. Hopefully this review helps and if there are questions about the system, let me know. J

Would you say that this is a good kit to start with?
@Soureemango
If you need basic skin care (For combination, dry, normal, or oily skin) and you could afford it, this kit would be a good start. It lasts a long time and works pretty well. There are drugstore options out there if you need something more affordable. I could do a Clinique 3-step skin care dupe if you'd be interested. Hope this answers your question :)
